Elaine B1 StarI needed to buy a computer mouse and before I left home I checked the availability online. Online it said there was 4 available. I get to the store and the item is not on the shelf, but it looks like they only put one out at a time, so I asked for some assistance. There was another of the more expensive ones available which would've worked, but I wanted one that was on sale. The lady takes the details and goes to the back room. She comes back a few minutes later saying that they were out of stock. So, as I really needed a mouse, I purchase the more expensive one on the shelf. But it wasn't the one I wanted. When I got home I checked the website again, because perhaps I was mistaken that there were 4 available. But sure enough, it still said there were some in stock at the store. It also said I could buy it online and pick it up in store within 2 hrs. So I put my order through online. Within 20 minutes I got a message that my order was ready to pick up. I brought the more expensive mouse back, returned it and picked up the one I ordered online, which was apparently out of stock when I was there only 1 hour earlier. I am upset that I was literally lied to! I will no longer be shopping at this store as I cannot trust that I will be treated fairly or ethically.Monday 18th March 2024
Gaylene Dannish1 StarSo far this is a one for me. We got a laptop for our son in 2023, purchases the extended warranty, which I pay for monthly. My sons laptop is broken and so we call the “Staples” number and get put through to some other company they claims they now take care of the warranty for Staples. Well this is news to me! And let me tell you BE AWARE because staples is not standing by their warranty promise. This new company was rude, demanded money, and then when we paid, have ghosted us. I have contacted the service manager at the local Staples where we purchased the laptop. Let’s see if we get any kind of resolution.. stay tuned..Thursday 28th March 2024
Vaibhav Vig1 StarJOHN is inexperienced with tech return and on top of that, very very rude and should be ashamed of how he treated me today. Came in to return a MacBook Air and had politely informed him why. I don’t know why he’s so annoyed but right of the bat he’s giving me attitude. I had informed him that I had put the laptop on reset just like how it should be when you return it. Apparently, it needs to be connected to the wifi to restart the whole “recovery period”. He said there’s no button to connect it to the wifi and kept giving me attitude and even said I have to go to the Apple Store so I went to check myself and lo and behold on the top right I found the wifi dropdown. My experience with JOHN was a joke. But I’m so relieved that I was able to resolve the issue myself and get my money back. What’s even more disappointing is, the store manager RHONDA was there but didn’t de escalate the situation and just watched as this employee talk rudely to me. This location needs a tech employee who actually has common sense and knows what he’s doing!! Do better StaplesSunday 21st January 2024

Nicole Dufresne1 StarNot related to buying something there but.... my car wouldn't start due to a dead battery, so I went in to the store after asking several other people to help boost me, and one of the employees said he had cables and could boost me after finishing up with a customer. After waiting a while the manager came to tell me they couldn't help me in case something were to go wrong with my car, but he let me know there was a Canadian Tire down the road and maybe I could find someone there. Guess its against their policy to be a decent human being, keep in mind it was winter and no one else I asked had jumper cables. So thanks Staples (thankful for the employee that was going to help me)Wednesday 16th November 2022
